Day 1: Porto, Yeatman Hotel.

Arrival in Porto. Accommodation for tonight will be at The Yeatman, an exclusive wine hotel, with beautiful views of the Douro River and the historic center of the city of Porto, a World Heritage Site. A member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux chain and awarded two Michelin stars, The Yeatman is a distinctive landmark in the global luxury hotel industry. Right in the historic area where Porto's oldest wine cellars are located, The Yeatman is situated on a beautiful hill, with breathtaking views of the city and in a setting that provides a very calm and peaceful atmosphere, yet within the urban area. In the afternoon we will enjoy a private tour of this fascinating Douro city and discover its history, monuments and traditions. For dinner we can opt for one of the restaurants in the bustling city center, or return to the hotel and enjoy the gastronomy of one of its restaurants.

Day 2: Porto - Barcelos - Ponte de Lima - Torre de Gomariz On foot: 12 km

Today we will do our first stage on foot. From Oporto we move to the small town of Portela de Tamel, very close to Barcelos. Here we start our Camino, crossing villages and small towns, with a beautiful agricultural landscape that combines vineyards with other crops. We arrive at Vitorino dos Piaes where we stop walking. We are very close to Ponte de Lima, a beautiful village that boasts of being the oldest "vila" of Portugal, we take the opportunity to visit it and have lunch, then we move to our accommodation for the next two nights, the Torre de Gomariz wine & spa. A 5* boutique hotel surrounded by vineyards and nature, an interesting fusion between classic and contemporary with the service of a luxury hotel.

Day 3: Ponte de Lima - Agualonga - Torre de Gomariz. On foot: 14km

We return to Ponte de Lima, cross its beautiful bridge over the Limia river and start our walking stage for today, we easily reach Codeçal and from there we calmly begin the ascent to Alto da Portela, although the stage is a little harder than yesterday's it is worth the effort because of the reward of the landscape. In Agualonga we finish the section of the Camino and return to the hotel to freshen up and rest. In the afternoon we approach the beautiful city of Braga, the third largest in Portugal, where, accompanied by a local guide, we will discover the immense heritage that treasures and take the opportunity to dine in one of its restaurants. After dinner we return to the Tower of Gomariz. 


Day 4: Torre de Gomariz - A Guarda - Oia - Baiona. On foot: 12 km

Today we say goodbye to Portugal to cross the border with Spain. Following the course of the Miño river to its estuary we reach A Guarda, where we visit the Castro de Santa Tecla, a pre-Roman settlement on the top of a hill from where we will have incredible views over the Atlantic. Shortly after we start our stage on foot, in Portecelo, following the coastline we arrive 12 km later to Porto Mougás, where we are expected to transfer to Baiona. Accommodation will be at the Parador de Baiona, in the fortified peninsula of Monterreal, a privileged location overlooking the bay, the Atlantic and the historic town of Baiona, the first port in Europe to know the arrival of Columbus to the new world. If there is something that stands out in Galician gastronomy is its magnificent raw material, where fish and seafood have a well deserved protagonism. We will give you a good recommendation for today's dinner. 


Day 5: Baiona - Pontesampaio - Pontevedra - Caldas. On foot: 12 km

We start our journey in Pontesampaio, a picturesque place at one end of the Vigo estuary. Until we get there we will enjoy the views and the stories of the Rande Strait and the islands of San Simon. The stage on foot leads us to Pontevedra where we will visit one of the best preserved historic centers of Galicia, the Church of La Peregrina, the squares of Teucro, Ferrerías, La Leña or La Verdura are interesting and bustling with the terraces of the many restaurants in the city. Surely we will take the opportunity to try some of them. Then we move to Caldas de Reis and stay at the beautiful Hotel Torre do Rio.


Day 6: Caldas de Reis- Valga - Santiago de Compostela. On foot: 12 km

Today we leave Caldas de Reis to walk to Valga, a mostly rural journey, with small scattered villages, forests and cultivated areas. Transfer to Santiago. We will walk into the old town until we reach the Plaza del Obradoiro, where we will find the Cathedral and our accommodation for today, the old Pilgrims Hospital converted into the 5* Parador de Turismo de los Reyes Católicos. Free afternoon to enjoy the city.
